This interdisciplinary program contains courses in political science, languages, geography, history, sociology, anthropology, economics and other matters. The Bachelor of Arts degree program in international research consists of three parts: three years of examine of one international language; the key core courses, which embrace introductory work in artwork history, economics, geography, history, political science, religion and women’s research; and work in a specialized concentration.

Beyond required programs, students will declare a regional focus (Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, or the Middle East) and complete nine credits of coursework in that space as well as a thematic focus (arts and culture, atmosphere and well being, economics and development, or warfare and peace) and full 9 credit of coursework related to that matter.

For completion of a minor, a student will need to have a minimum total cumulative grade level average of two.00 in all programs required for the minor unique of decrease-level courses and prerequisite courses and full a minimum of six hours in upper-level courses within the minor requirement by means of courses supplied by Old Dominion College.

Recent graduates have pursued careers in government, business, or non-government organizations that have an international or global focus. Students needing to transfer to USF should complete an A.A. diploma at a Florida College System institution. Those that need to get into an international studies profession can focus on becoming economists, historians, anthropologists, and different social scientists who concentrate on humanity’s points and their affect on the world.
